Laguna Beach is a beautiful coastal city in Orange County, California. It’s known for its many art galleries, coves and beaches. I am thankful for my life in this amazing coastal beach town. And what a vibrant town for creative designers to live and find inspiration. They say “Sometimes all you need is Vitamin Sea” and this has rung true as I find solace in my beach town.

We have a number of committees that not only look after the towns natural loveliness, but also help create and place art in public spaces, from lamp post banner originals by our local artists to towering edifices and street art just about everywhere you look.

Laguna Beach is well-known for its famous art festivals. One of my recommendations is the Pageant of the Masters at the Festival of Arts. Pageant of the Masters, is a very unique production which re-creates famous works of art in theatre form. This 80 year tradition awakens and recreates classic and contemporary art with real people posing as their roles in original art pieces. It has won recognition as the best presentation of its kind. My husband and I also enjoy “Art Walk” which occurs on the first Thursday of the month, trolleys run around town and link over 40 participating galleries. This is a great way to check out Laguna Beach’s art scene while mingling with other art lovers and town goers.

The Sawdust Art Festival is another unique feature of Laguna Beach. It celebrates and supports local artists. Its meant to both entertain and educate tourists and locals, it offers classes and workshops year-round. Now in its 52nd year, the Sawdust Art Festival will feature over 200 Laguna Beach residents. Similar to the Sawdust Festival, the Festival of Arts is another art festival with more than 140 Orange County artist offering unique and one-of-a-kind pieces, this event is another family favorite.

As a Laguna Beach local artist, Stephanos is honored to attend a unique Pop Up Shop at Sourced. Sourced is a great market place which focuses on local emerging contemporary artists, crafters, and designers to create a one-of-a-kind event within Laguna Beach. These pop-up markets are free to attend, family friendly, and unique to Laguna Beach. It offers free craft bars too!
